Site Analysis Process, Planning and Preliminary Market Study

The SD&D approach to designing Eco-Industrial Parks includes preparation of a Site Analysis Plan followed by a Preliminary Market Study and a Conceptual Plan. Once the initial conceptual plan is completed, TFM advises the client to host a "design charrette". During the design charrette, there is a strong emphasis placed on preserving conservation lands.

Site Analysis Plans are developed to help direct development to the most appropriate locations. Typically, a site analysis will graphically depict the attributes and constraints of the land's physical features. A site analysis often includes an inventory of the plants and animals that inhabit the area.

A Preliminary Market Study will help determine the potential for successful Eco-Development, the markets to be targeted, and the competitive environment. Elements of the preliminary market study are utilized in the conceptual plan process to insure that the concept plans are consistent with market needs and are economically viable.
